Here are the answers to some questions we're asked a lot:
I’ve never hired a software company before, can you help me understand how this all works?
The first step is to contact us using the button below. Tell us a little about who you are, the problem you’re aiming to solve, and your idea to help solve it.
We’ll get back to you as soon as we can, and arrange a time when we can meet to discuss your idea and your aims in more depth, either over a coffee or by Skype. After discussing your idea, and how we can help, we’ll provide you with a ballpark estimate of how much the project will cost (we won’t know all of the details yet).
If you’re happy with the ball-park estimate, we’ll talk through the idea in very specific detail, so we know exactly what it will do and how it will work.
We’ll prepare a formal spec. with a quote written in plain, jargon-free English, that outlines the work we’ve agreed to do, and for how much.
One we’ve agreed on the what, the who and the how much, we’ll start working on designing and developing your product. We’ll send you regular updates for you to feedback on, so we make sure we’re on the right track.
Once the first version is complete and well-tested - we’ll help you launch it into the world.
How much does it cost to develop a web app?
The honest answer is: We need to know as much as we can about your idea, in order to accurately answer that question. We’re happy to discuss your idea in depth with you over a coffee - it’s free, and there’s no obligation to proceed afterwards.
Will you build exactly what I tell you to?
Yes and no. As consultants, it’s our responsibility to help you to make the right decisions as effectively as we can. After all, we want you to succeed. We have a well-earned reputation with our clients for speaking our minds and challenging their decisions when we need to. We’ll always discuss an approach with you and explore the options together, rather than just blindly following instructions. At the end of the day, the choice will be yours.
How can I keep my idea safe before it’s launched?
We understand that you’re very excited about your idea, and you don’t want anybody else to take it away from you. We’re happy to sign an NDA (non-disclosure agreement). This is a legally binding contract that ensures we won’t give away any sensitive information you share with us. We offer this gesture completely free of charge, and you’re under no obligation to work with us even once you’ve signed it. View a sample NDA
